Job Description

The Arizona Supreme Court and Court of Appeals use a case and court management system built in PowerBuilder. The application, currently in PowerBuilder 12.5.2 and running on an Informix database, is slated for modernization using C#, .NET, WPF, and replacing Informix with MS SQL Server. The role involves advising the migration team on best approaches, tools, and techniques for a multi‑phase migration and documenting a recommendation.

Responsibilities

• Advise the migration team on the best approaches, tools, and techniques to incrementally migrate the existing PowerBuilder application to a C# .NET application for a multi‑phase migration spanning multiple years.
• Develop, document, and deliver a comprehensive recommendation with full assistance of the migration team.
• Support the migration process across multiple phases, ensuring the application remains operable during transition.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in migrating medium to large PowerBuilder applications to C# and .NET.
• Proficiency with PowerBuilder 12.5 or higher, PB .NET, and C#.
• Experience with Informix and MS SQL Server databases.
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems (7, 8.1, 10).
• Knowledge of .NET frameworks (3.5, 4.0), WPF, and related methodologies.
• Ability to deliver a three‑week engagement.
