We are seeking a Power QA Engineer to support Mac system power validation and software quality assurance activities. The role involves power testing, issue reproduction, debugging, test infrastructure maintenance, and improving validation methodologies.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret power test results across Mac platforms.

  • Reproduce reported issues using existing test cases and validation tools.

  • Troubleshoot, debug, and isolate hardware/software issues using data analysis techniques.

  • Identify, document, and track detailed bugs while communicating findings to the team.

  • Set up, configure, and maintain Mac systems on testing racks.

  • Maintain lab test equipment and testing infrastructure as required.

  • Prioritize tasks and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.

  • Create and maintain documentation for test processes, methodologies, and procedures.

  • Make minor updates and enhancements to the testing platform codebase.

  • Propose and implement new testing methodologies to improve Mac power validation.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to investigate and resolve power-related issues.

Required Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Hands-on troubleshooting and debugging experience.

  • Strong familiarity with macOS and command-line tools.

  • Basic object-oriented programming skills; Swift or Python preferred.

  • Ability to analyze test data and identify issues effectively.

  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with hardware testing and validation.

  • Understanding of computer architecture and electrical engineering fundamentals.

  • Knowledge of power consumption, power management, and system power validation.

  • Experience working with test equipment, lab infrastructure, or automated testing environments.

  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and tools.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
