The Phoenix Group is seeking an experienced Microsoft Power Platform Consultant for a 6-month contract engagement. This consultant will work closely with IT leadership and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process automation, improve reporting capabilities, and develop scalable solutions using Microsoft Power BI and Power Automate.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical professional who can independently gather requirements, design and implement solutions, and provide documentation and training to internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy automated workflows using Microsoft Power Automate.
- Build and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify manual processes and opportunities for automation.
- Integrate Microsoft 365 applications, including SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Excel, and Forms.
- Develop reporting solutions using Power Query, DAX, SQL, and various data sources.
- Troubleshoot workflow failures, data integration issues, and reporting discrepancies.
- Ensure solutions follow security, governance, and data access best practices.
- Conduct testing, support production deployments, and resolve technical issues.
- Create technical documentation and train internal IT staff on maintaining implemented solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Automate and Power BI.
- Proven experience developing and deploying production-level workflows and dashboards.
- Proficiency with Power Query, DAX, data modeling, and SQL.
- Experience integrating Microsoft 365 applications, particularly SharePoint Online.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, connectors, and data integration.
- Understanding of Microsoft Power Platform security, governance, and administration.
- Ability to independently manage technical projects from requirements gathering through deployment.
- Strong communication skills and experience working directly with business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Power Apps, Dataverse, and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Microsoft Power Platform certifications, including PL-300 or PL-500.
