This individual is a vital part of the life and safety of many people, organizations and communications.Attributes of OntivityStable – Broad customer base with long-term relationships allowing you to keep workingSafe – Your wellbeing is our top priority and primary valueCompetitive – Competitive Pay, OT Opportunity, Travel Compensation, Comprehensive benefitsResourceful – Quality Equipment, Current Technology, and Access to learn from seasoned professionals across a network of companiesCareer Focused – We invest in you through technical and safety trainingRecourse – Multiple disciplines that allow you opportunity to expand your skills and multiple locations that provide opportunity to work where we are at and you want to beMeaningful – Your work impacts every American and every other critical infrastructure fieldKey ResponsibilitiesRepair and Service all Makes and Models of Generator SetsInspect, Repair, service and Start-Up Load Bank Test Requirements on Equipment.Trouble shoot problems on all equipment using test equipment, tools, service manuals and service bulletins.Troubleshoot Equipment and Generator Components including Alternators, Wiring Harnesses, Safety Devices, and Battery Systems.Apply proper Engine Technical Skills in Inspection, Failure Analysis, Assembly, Diagnosis, and Operating Performance Tests.Identify the Problem and Cause of Failure through Logical Troubleshooting Steps, determine Corrective Action through Inspection.Repair and Troubleshoot Engines such as Cummins, Detroit Diesel, John Deere, MTU and VolvoAnticipate and understand customer's current and future expectations, provide innovative solutions.Actively and effectively communicate with all Power Systems team members.Work EnvironmentThe incumbent will be working in various outdoor locations and will be willing to travel and stay overnight at work locations.Required Education and ExperienceBe a personable, highly motivated, and ethical problem solver who can adapt to all forces around – customers, suppliers, manufacturers, and co-workersExceptional customer serviceStrong verbal and written communication skillsInventory managementProficient in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, and Excel)Proficient with Google Calendar.Essential Functions / Responsibilities:Value safety over and above all other considerationsPerform all work safely and efficiently/always utilize correct PPEBasic knot tying and safe rigging principles required to load material on trailersRequired Knowledge / Competencies:Must have valid Drivers License and the ability to obtain a DOT physical certification. CDL Class A certification a plusMust be able to pass a background check/MVR/drug screen for government security clearancesMust be competent in safely driving tuck with trailersMust have complete knowledge on use and care of basic hand and power toolsJob Related Certifications:Certified in fork-lift and skid steer operationsWork Environment & Physical Demands:The physical demands and work environment described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job.Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
