Project ManagerLeidos Engineering is seeking experienced Project Managers to join our Strategic Program Consulting team within our Power Delivery Solutions division. In this role, you will work alongside engineering managers and account managers to provide Project Management Services supporting a large electric utility client. You will work with a diverse blend of Capital Transmission/Substation in the greater Kentucky area including Louisville, Lexington and Cincinnati.The Project Manager will be part of Leidos' Power Delivery Solutions Division that provides consulting services to both public- owned and investor-owned electric utilities. Therefore, ideal candidates will be located in these areas.Responsibilities:Lead electric utility project execution teams with a diverse set of contributors - including Engineering, Construction, Permitting, Siting, Environmental, Cost Controls and Scheduling functions - to deliver comprehensive capital transmission substation projects for electric utility clients.Take ownership of overall portfolio performance, including cost, schedule, and scope managementInterface with clients and internal stakeholders to address issues, report progress, and mitigate risks across the project portfolioMentor and develop project management staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learningManage monthly client invoicing, accruals, and accounts receivable processesIdentify and pursue business development opportunities to support organizational growthEnsure compliance with contract requirements and quality control standardsMaintain regular communication with stakeholders, including clients, project teams, subcontractors, and support personnelIdentify project risks and mitigation strategiesBackground Requirements/Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or related fieldA minimum of 3+ years of progressive Project Management experience within the Electric Utility Industry; Experience as a Project Manager directly at an electric utility is strongly preferredDemonstrated Experience working with US Electric Utilities, and a comprehensive understanding of electric power and infrastructure projects is requiredDirect experience working with electric power infrastructure projectsSupervisory experience including team building and talent acquisitionStrong leadership skills with a focus on portfolio management and team developmentExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to travel periodically as requiredProficiency utilizing Primavera P6 or MS Project suite with a heavy emphasis on Microsoft Excel (must be able to demonstrate proficiency with Excel)Proven knowledge of PowerPlan enterprise project performance software preferredPrevious experience working with Louisville Gas & Electric and Kentucky Utilities as a customer is preferred, but not requiredCandidates with varying levels of experience may be considered, and pay ranges will be commensurate with selected candidates' experience and qualifications.We pride ourselves on being a trusted and technology-focused solutions provider.
