Job Title

Essential Functions:

  • Engineer
    • Develops new or modifies existing, embedded programs, AC drive systems, power converters, and electric machine designs.
    • Continue to expand on understanding of process and skills to develop wide ranges of power, complexity, and application of power systems.
    • Projects will include emphasis on commercial details and project management including but not limited to:
      • Speed and torque controlled motor drive development
      • Motor development
      • Development and tuning of regulators including current, speed, torque, EMF, and field weakening
      • Knowledge of motor architectures, motor design, control algorithms, and dynamics
      • Understanding of power converter concepts such as buck-boost DC/DC
      • Embedded programming concepts
      • Printed circuit board and power assembly hardware design
      • Modification or development of detailed models and simulation of systems using Matlab and Simulink
      • Other processes as needed and required for project execution and/or combinations of the above
  • Participate with others in the project development phases related to the products supported.
  • Collaborate with Sales team and customers to define and support product requirements.
  • Progress to increasing opportunity to lead complex, multi-faceted engineering projects.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Electrical/Electronic/Computer engineering preferred.
  • Experience: 0-10 years of experience involving power electronics design, motor control development, motor design, low level firmware development, and/or control electronics design.
  • Other:
