Senior Power Bi DeveloperOur Enterprise Business Intelligence team has an immediate contract need for a Senior Power BI Developer who will be responsible for designing, building, deploying, administrating, and supporting Power BI solutions.
Responsibilities include Power BI administration and general support, Power BI reports development, Power BI premium capacity administration and monitoring, Power BI gateway servers administration, Power BI security (object level and data level) using Ad groups and database tables, assisting with building best practice guidelines and governance model, working with different development teams, reviewing Power BI reports, finding problem-causing dashboards/reports/datasets, troubleshooting issues, providing insights and recommendations on best practices and performance improvements, and working with office 365 team and infra teams to implement new features and functionalities in Power BI ecosystem.The Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for aggregating data from multiple sources in an efficient data warehouse and designing enterprise-level solutions for very large multidimensional databases. Additional responsibilities include debugging, monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting BI solutions.Top 3-5 required skills include databases: Teradata, Oracle Exadata, DB2, Snowflake, ADLS Gen 2, SQL Server (2005/2008/2008 R2/2012). Database tools: MS-Access, SQL Server Management Studio, Teradata SQL Assistant, SQL Developer. Development skills: T-SQL, PL/SQL, SQL PLUS, Power BI, Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE 12c). Languages: VB.net, Linux, Unix, Python. ETL tools: Data Stage Tools/Methodologies: MS Project, Agile, Jira, Waterfall. Must be flexible working after-hours and weekends at times.
