Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer to design, develop, maintain, and manage interactive dashboards and reports for internal business teams and external users.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Server, data modeling, dashboard development, and reporting. The role also involves working with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, analyze business processes, establish dashboarding standards, and deliver reliable BI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and manage dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop.
- Deploy Power BI reports to Power BI Server as required.
- Create and manage data sources in Power BI Server, including certification and update processes.
- Support data management, reporting standards, and dashboard governance.
- Work with business data owners to define, measure, and analyze business processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and better communication through data visualization.
- Translate functional specifications into technical requirements and solution documentation.
- Prepare training materials and provide knowledge transfer to team members.
- Ensure dashboards and reports meet business requirements and established design standards.
Required Skills and Experience
- 7+ years of experience in Power BI development, dashboarding, visualization, and reporting.
- Strong experience with data modeling and relationships.
- Hands-on experience with Power Query and ETL.
- Experience designing complex reports and dashboards.
- Experience with workspace administration and governance.
- Experience integrating Databricks with Power BI.
- Experience managing user access and security.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prepare technical documentation and communicate with business stakeholders.
Desired Skills
- Experience with Microsoft 365 automation and integration.
- Experience with ServiceNow ticketing.
- Government or public-sector project experience.
- Strong understanding of business intelligence standards and reporting practices.
