General Machine OperatorThe General Machine Operator supports our manufacturing operations by running, monitoring, and maintaining production equipment used in powder processing and ingot manufacturing. This role ensures safe, efficient, and consistent production while meeting strict quality and performance standards. Operators work closely with production leads, quality technicians, and maintenance teams to keep processes running smoothly.Key ResponsibilitiesMachine Setup & Operation — Prepare, start up, and operate machinery used in powder processing or ingot production according to established procedures.Material Handling — Load raw materials (powders, metals, additives) and safely transfer finished or semi-finished product.Process Monitoring — Observe equipment performance, temperatures, feed rates, and other process parameters to ensure stable operation.Quality Control — Perform visual inspections, take samples, measure product characteristics, and document results.Equipment Maintenance — Conduct routine cleaning, lubrication, and minor adjustments; report mechanical issues promptly.Safety Compliance — Follow all safety protocols, including PPE use, lockout/tagout, and safe material handling procedures.Documentation — Record production data, downtime, material usage, and quality checks accurately.Team Collaboration — Communicate with supervisors and coworkers to maintain workflow and resolve issues quickly.QualificationsManufacturing experience preferred, especially in metals, powders, or industrial equipment operation.Ability to read and follow work instructions, safety guidelines, and production schedules.Comfortable working around high-temperature equipment, powder materials, and heavy machinery.Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.Work EnvironmentFast-paced industrial setting with exposure to powdered materials, melting/casting equipment, forklifts, and automated machinery.Requires use of PPE such as respirators, gloves, safety glasses, and protective clothing.Shift work may be required depending on production needs.Why JoinOpportunity to work with advanced materials and precision manufacturing processes.Stable, growing company with room for skill development and advancement.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Adamstown, MD.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
