You'll work with a variety of metal components using both a conveyorized powder coating line and an off-line paint booth for larger parts.
What You'll Do
- Apply powder coatings to metal parts using spray equipment
- Operate conveyor systems, wash systems and curing ovens
- Prepare parts by cleaning, sanding, masking and pretreating surfaces
- Inspect finished parts for proper coverage, texture and color
- Use mil-gauge testing equipment to verify coating thickness
- Adjust equipment and spray settings to maintain coating quality
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and assist with routine maintenance
- Hang, mask, clean and sand parts as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work with the production team to meet daily quality and production goals
- Previous powder coating/powder painting experience required
- Manufacturing or industrial painting experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of powder coating equipment and application techniques
- Ability to read work instructions, specifications and technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Comfortable working with coating materials and chemicals while following proper safety procedures
- Dependable and able to work effectively as part of a team
- $25.00/hour
