Position Description
Position Summary
The Powder Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transport of cement powder to job sites and plants. This is a local driving position with drivers returning home daily. The role requires strong attention to detail, clear communication skills, and a commitment to safety, equipment care, and professional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle hauling cement powder.
- Load and unload product using pneumatic systems while following all required procedures.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and promptly report maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, load tickets, and required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and job site personnel regarding schedules, deliveries, and site conditions.
- Follow all DOT regulations, company safety policies, and environmental guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and good working condition of truck and trailer.
- Represent the company in a professional and respectful manner at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement (Hazmat not required).
- Clean driving record and full compliance with DOT regulations.
- Prior experience with pneumatic trailers preferred, but not required (training provided).
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Must be able to climb ladders, lift hoses, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
