Powder Coating Manager

Powder Coating ManagerTMCO is looking for an experienced Powder Coating Manager to lead our busy powder coating department. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, with powder coating or finishing experience being a plus. This position is responsible for leading the team, maintaining high standards of quality and safety, and ensuring production goals and customer deadlines are met.Qualifications & ExperiencePrevious leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment required.Powder coating or finishing experience preferred.Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with production deadlines and quality requirements.Experience with an ERP system or similar manufacturing software preferred.Knowledge & SkillsStrong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.Ability to motivate employees and hold team members accountable.Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet production needs.Ability to troubleshoot production and equipment issues.Knowledge of powder coating processes, equipment, and materials preferred.Knowledge of workplace safety practices and OSHA requirements.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Job DutiesLead the day-to-day operations of the Powder Coating Department.Schedule and prioritize department work to meet production requirements and customer deadlines.Provide direction, training, coaching, and support to department employees.Work closely with other departments to coordinate production schedules and resolve issues.Troubleshoot production, equipment, and process issues and determine appropriate solutions.Ensure employees follow safety procedures and company policies.Assist with employee performance management and development.Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and increase department efficiency.Oversee all aspects of the powder coating operation, including: Powder applicationProduct preparation and prep-workLoading and unloading products on a moving track systemPackaging of finished productsProduct assemblyQuality inspectionMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.BenefitsPaid holidaysPaid vacationHealth, dental, and vision insurance plans401(k) retirement plan with company match
