Poultry Caretaker
We're looking for a dependable, hardworking individual to join our egg production team as a poultry caretaker. In this hands-on role, you'll help care for laying hens, maintain clean barns, collect eggs, and support daily farm operations while following animal welfare and biosecurity standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Care for laying hens by monitoring their health and well-being
- Keep barns clean, organized, and sanitary
- Ensure birds have continuous access to feed and water
- Monitor egg collection equipment and maintain egg flow
- Perform routine bird and egg checks
- Report equipment, ventilation, or maintenance concerns
- Complete daily records and documentation
- Follow all farm safety, biosecurity, and PPE requirements
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Perform other farm duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic
- Comfortable working in a physically active environment
- Able to lift, bend, walk, and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to follow instructions and safety procedures
- Previous farm or livestock experience is helpful but not required—we're willing to train the right candidate
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a fast-paced agricultural environment
- Commitment to animal care, safety, and teamwork
- Ability to work every other weekend
What We're Looking For:
Pay Range: $18 - $21/hour
