Postdoc (f/m/x)

in the Quantum Foundations and Quantum Information Theory research group led by Prof. Caslav Brukner.

The Brukner group´s research goal is to gain insight into quantum foundations and quantum information by exploiting operational and information-theoretic approaches. Furthermore, the research group has applied these approaches to the field of causality and gravity.

Now the Institute for Quantum Optics and Quantum Information (IQOQI-Vienna) in Vienna is offering a Postdoc position to a highly motivated and well-qualified scientist to work in the field of Quantum Foundations and Quantum Information Theory.

Your Tasks

  • Theoretical research at the interface between quantum foundations, quantum information theory and gravitational physics
  • Supporting the group leader in preparing project proposal
  • Being involved in various administrative tasks such as supervision of students

Your Profile

Ideally experience in supervising students and writing project proposals

Experience in quantum foundations, quantum information and gravitational physics

Experience in operational and quantum information-theoretic approaches

The minimum annual gross salary for this position is EUR 70.167,44 (full-time based), in accordance with the collective agreement of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW). For part-time employment, the salary will be adjusted on a pro rata basis in line with the agreed working hours.
