A full time Post-Doctoral research position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Daniel Forman in the Division of Cardiology at the University of Maryland, Baltimore immediately.
This position is ideal for an early-to-mid-career scientist who has recently completed a postdoctoral fellowship and is looking for a role that bridges high-level collaborative science with career independence. You will play a role in an active R01-funded program (NIH- NIA grant Adjuvant Nitrate to Boost Exercise-induced Health Benefits in Older Adults ) while having the mentorship, resources, and intellectual freedom to develop your own independent grant proposals (e.g., K-awards, R21, or R01). The initial role will provide effort on an NIH-funded multicenter clinical trial (BOOST-X), a randomized trial evaluating whether dietary nitrate supplementation enhances the benefits of combined endurance and resistance exercise training in older adults.

Qualifications
Required:
- Education: PhD in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Applied Physiology, or a related field.
- Experience: 1–5 years of postdoctoral research training with a demonstrated trajectory toward scientific autonomy.
- Publication Record: A strong publication history featuring authorship on papers in reputable, peer-reviewed journals within the field.
