Post Closing Specialist IIHouston, TX 77086Position Type Full TimeThe Post-Closing Specialist II is responsible for all aspects of the loan process after closing including receiving, shipping, insuring, and clearing investor suspense conditions.Duties & Responsibilities (Included But Not Limited To):Ensures all closing packages and collateral are received, uploaded, audited, corrected, and shipped within stated Service Level Agreements ("SLAs")Ensures all insurance premiums are paid, and certificates received (on applicable loan files) within stated SLAsEnsures applicable Conventional loans with private mortgage insurance are activated in MI portals within stated SLAsEnsures MERS numbers are registered and transferred within stated SLAsEnsures all assigned loans are purchased within stated SLAs by: Documenting suspense conditions in the system of record Working with Borrowers, Closing Agents, Branches, Underwriters, Closers, and other parties to clear suspense conditions Enter the Purchase Advice and clear the loan off the Warehouse LineMaintains daily reports, including Warehouse and Ready ReportsServes as the primary subject matter expert (SME) for the team, providing guidance and support on complex questions, issues, or proceduresActs as the first point of escalation for team concerns, resolving issues when possible prior to manager involvementIdentifies opportunities for process improvements and contributes to the development and implementation of more efficient workflowsLeads training efforts for new team members and provide ongoing coaching and support for existing staff as neededServes as a backup to the manager during periods of absence, ensuring continuity of operations and team supportQualificationsMinimum Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Education & Experience)Requires a high school diploma or GED5+ years of experience in the mortgage industrySome team lead experiencePreferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Education & Experience)Bachelor's degree is desired1-2 years of leadership experience
