Post Anesthesia Care Nurse

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – PACU to provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients with varying levels of acuity. The RN will monitor patients, administer medications and IV therapies, support post-procedure recovery, and collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team. Level I pediatric experience is required , along with BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients in the PACU setting.
• Monitor vital signs and physiological conditions, recognizing changes and intervening appropriately.
• Administer prescribed medications, IV infusions, and blood products while following established nursing protocols.
• Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures, treatments, and post-procedure patient care.
• Document patient responses, nursing interventions, treatments, and changes in physician orders accurately.
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans, hospital procedures, recovery, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Delegate appropriate tasks to support staff and maintain effective communication within the care team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required.
• Level I pediatric experience is required.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required.
• Current Oklahoma RN License or Multistate Compact RN License (eNLC) .
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Strong knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
• Experience with patient assessment, medication administration, IV therapy, and physiological monitoring.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Basic computer skills and accurate clinical documentation experience.
• Ability to provide culturally sensitive, patient-centered care in a fast-paced pediatric environment.
• Shift is 3x12-hour day shifts | 8 AM - 8:30 PM| 36 hours/week

• Pay Rate for Travelers: $2,350 - $2,400 Weekly
