POS Hardware and Network Support Technician

Job TitlePay Range: $45hr - $50hrRequirement/Must Have1+ years of hands-on experience supporting POS registers, printers, monitors, EMV payment devices, and related peripherals.Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, wired and wireless connectivity.Customer-centric mindset with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.Ability to perform under pressure, support off-hours operations, prioritize competing tasks, and collaborate effectively within a team environment.ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, maintain, and support POS hardware and software systems.Troubleshoot and repair POS registers and terminals, receipt and label printers, monitors and customer-facing displays, EMV/chip and contactless payment devices, and cash drawers and peripheral equipment.Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues involving POS environments, including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.Support and maintain Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or Square POS environments.Perform hardware upgrades, replacements, and preventive maintenance.Document incidents, solutions, and system changes accurately.Collaborate with business users, vendors, and internal support teams to resolve technical issues.Maintain a high level of responsiveness and professionalism when supporting critical business operations.Participate in off-hours support, maintenance windows, and on-call rotations as required.Nice to HaveExperience supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce, Dynamics 365 Retail, and/or Square POS solutions.SkillsStrong problem-solving, organizational, and troubleshooting skills.Strong customer service experience.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Flexible and available to support after-hours, weekends, and critical business events when necessary.EducationCompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications.
