Portfolio Manager - Ashland VAThe Portfolio Manager will serve as the primary liaison between Winebow's Sales division and our suppliers. The Portfolio Manager will develop a strategic plan to maximize the distribution and marketing of the suppliers in their portfolio. They will provide data and analysis to the VP of Portfolio Management on a regular basis to include possible new items, discontinued items, and correct inventory levels. The Portfolio Manager will develop overall brand strategy by effectively using internal data, market research, and competitive intelligence. They will work with the leaders of the sales team to ensure that brand strategy is translated to marketplace activities that drive sales and profits.The Portfolio Manager will attend monthly brand meetings, prepare and present recaps on brand accomplishments, provide depletion, goal reviews of brands by suppliers, and update the management team on any problems with select brands.

They will develop strong relationships and communication with assigned suppliers, including follow-up as needed. The Portfolio Manager will act as the point person on pricing and troubleshoot pricing issues. They will provide appropriate brand training to the sales force including presentations and marketing materials. The Portfolio Manager will meet agreed upon goals and objectives effectively and in a timely manner. They will arrive at work, appointments, meetings, and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled.

The Portfolio Manager will work with the Supply Chain team to provide information on inventory needs.Other functions include special events coordination for internal staff and external suppliers/customers, following all safety policies and procedures, and performing other duties as assigned. Working conditions may include overtime work and/or minimal travel, with a normal office environment. This is a hybrid position that requires in-office attendance three days a week—Tuesday through Thursday. Equipment/machinery used includes a telephone, fax machine, copier, computer, calculator, and scanner. Physical requirements include lifting up to 40 lbs., sitting, bending, reaching, driving, visual acuity, and manual dexterity.Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree required, with a concentration in Marketing or Business Administration preferred.

Three plus years' experience working in the wine industry in either a marketing or sales position is required. Excellent interpersonal relationship skills, superior follow-through, the ability to handle multiple tasks with limited supervision, understanding of pricing to the marketplace, Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, working knowledge of Diver application, working knowledge of Business Central and Sales Portal, and a valid driver's license are required.
