Job Summary
We are seeking an Engineering Support Level 2 professional to support Portfolio Analytics within a client-facing financial technology environment. The role will investigate and resolve complex support issues, serve as an escalation point for Level 1 helpdesk requests, and collaborate closely with engineering teams and senior external clients. The ideal candidate will have 4-10 years of relevant support experience, strong hands-on coding skills in Java and Python, the ability to debug API calls and develop troubleshooting tools, and excellent client communication skills. The role also involves improving the support function through automation, documentation, and repeat-issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
• Investigate and drive resolution of support issues involving senior external clients, internal stakeholders, and Marquee engineering teams.
• Serve as a point of escalation for support issues raised by the Level 1 Marquee Helpdesk.
• Work closely with engineering teams to investigate client issues and drive timely resolution.
• Develop scripts, code snippets, and debugging tools to improve client support and troubleshooting.
• Identify opportunities to automate resolution of repeat support issues and improve support processes.
• Influence and suggest improvements to the product roadmap to enhance the Marquee client experience, particularly across portfolio analytics.
• Create and maintain documentation, runbooks, and technical guidance for clients and internal engineering teams.
• Support basic UI and API integration troubleshooting.
• Communicate support issues, technical findings, and resolutions clearly to clients and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
• 4-10 years of relevant engineering support or technical support experience.
• Strong hands-on coding experience with Java and Python.
• Experience debugging API calls and developing scripts or code snippets for troubleshooting and client support.
• Experience creating debugging tools and quality-of-life automation for clients or internal teams.
• Basic knowledge of UI and API integration.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent client-facing communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with clients and stakeholders.
• Ability to confidently interact with senior external clients and cross-functional engineering teams.
• Willingness to execute support issues while also helping build and improve the support function.
• Ability to identify opportunities for automation and resolution of recurring support issues.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with equities, portfolio construction, or portfolio optimization.
• Experience with factor analytics, hedging, or trade and risk management tools.
• Experience in financial services, investment banking, hedge funds, stock markets, or quantitative investing.
• Experience working with portfolio analytics platforms or related financial technology solutions.
