Porter

We’re building a small kitchen team and looking for a porter who cares about cleanliness, organization, pace, and doing things the right way. This is a hands on position for someone who takes pride in keeping a kitchen clean, organized, and running smoothly.

The focus of the role is supporting daily kitchen operations. Keeping dishes moving, maintaining a clean workspace, staying ahead of the needs of the kitchen, and helping the team stay organized through prep and service.

You’ll be responsible for the dish station, general kitchen cleanliness, receiving and organizing deliveries, trash and recycling, and supporting prep and kitchen projects as needed. Organization, communication, urgency, and attention to detail are essential.

This is not a clock in, clock out job. We’re looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, notices what needs to be done, and wants to be part of a small team that values quality and care.
Dish & Kitchen Operations

• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient dish station throughout the shift
• Wash and properly store dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment
• Keep dishes moving quickly during prep and service
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen, storage areas, and back of house
• Communicate clearly with the kitchen team and stay ahead of service needs

Cleaning & Sanitation

• Complete daily and weekly cleaning tasks thoroughly and consistently
• Clean floors, walls, equipment, work surfaces, and kitchen areas as needed
• Handle trash, recycling, and waste throughout the shift
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and chemical handling standards
• Support opening, breakdown, and closing procedures

Receiving & Organization

• Assist with receiving and putting away deliveries
• Follow proper storage, labeling, and FIFO practices
• Keep walk ins, dry storage, and back of house areas clean and organized
• Break down boxes and maintain organized trash and recycling areas
• Help maintain an orderly kitchen throughout the day

Daily Operations

• Support the kitchen team with basic prep and other tasks as needed
• Restock supplies and anticipate what the team needs during service
• Take ownership of cleanliness and organization each shift
• Work with urgency while maintaining attention to detail
• Be willing to jump in wherever needed as part of a small team
