About the Role
Lonnie's Bar is looking for a dependable, hardworking Porter to help keep our space clean, stocked, and running smoothly. This is a behind-the-scenes role that's essential to daily operations — you'll be the person making sure the bar looks great and runs efficiently before, during, and after service.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of the entire venue, including bar area, dining area, restrooms, and back-of-house spaces
- Take out trash and recycling regularly; break down and manage disposal of boxes, kegs, and bottles
- Sweep, mop, and deep-clean floors, including spills during service
- Restock bar and kitchen supplies as needed (napkins, straws, paper goods, cleaning supplies)
- Assist with basic maintenance tasks and report any equipment or facility issues to management
- Help set up and break down the space for private events as needed
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards throughout the shift
- Support bar and kitchen staff with light lifting and moving supplies as needed
Qualifications
- Prior porter, custodial, or general labor experience a plus but not required
- Reliable and punctual — this role is critical to daily operations running smoothly
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods
- Comfortable working evenings/nights and weekends
- Positive attitude and willingness to pitch in wherever needed
