Pool Technical AssistantAssist in water treatment, filtration, plumbing and mechanical operations of the Texas Swim Center and Texas Athletics pools & spas.Assist Filtration Technician in plumbing, electrical and technical equipment maintenance. Demonstrate professionalism at high profile events. Take initiative to anticipate issues by regular equipment checks. Communicate with officials, coaches and meet administration with any needs or questions.

Use problem solving skills to resolve any issue. Respond professionally and with a sense of urgency to resolve those issues. Work as a team and provide leadership when needed to ensure a successful event.Conduct daily tests and routine maintenance of assigned pools and/or spas. Test and adjust water chemistry to meet standards for oxidation and sanitation.

Check and interpret gauges, flow meters and monitoring equipment for operational efficiency. Utilize excellent problem solving, flexibility and adaptability when resolving issues with any equipment. Take initiative by anticipating risk management concerns and address accordingly.Assist in cleaning and backwashing filters, water treatment, pumping equipment and filters of 16 therapy poolsInspect appearance of the pool and surrounding area to ensure no health or accident hazards to users. Utilize excellent problem solving, flexibility and adaptability when resolving issues with any equipment.Assist in repair of facilities including but not limited to tiles, line hoses, valves, benches, etc.Utilize strong communication skills and tactfulness to deliver excellent customer service when responding to questions or concerns from staff, coaches and officials as well as any questions or concerns from coworkers.Attend mandatory meetings and training sessions Speak publicly and express ideas in a respectful manner when attending and actively participating in staff trainings and meetings.
