Pool EEG TechnicianUnder general supervision and in accordance with established policies, procedures, and professional guidelines, the EEG Technologist performs a variety of neurodiagnostic procedures including EEGs, Long-Term Monitoring (LTM), and Evoked Potentials (EPs). The technologist supports physicians by executing diagnostic tasks and contributes to the hospital's mission and vision. This role requires technical expertise, critical thinking, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment while ensuring high-quality patient care and accurate diagnostic results.Essential FunctionsPerform routine, portable, and 24-hour EEG monitoring proceduresConduct evoked potential studies and assist in intraoperative monitoringAssist in long-term video EEG monitoring (LTVM) set up and data collectionIdentify and correct technical and artifactual issues during proceduresMaintain and calibrate neurodiagnostic equipment according to manufacturer specificationsAccurately document patient data, procedure notes, and observationsCollaborate with physicians and clinical staff to support diagnostic and treatment plansEducate patients and families about procedures to ensure comfort and cooperationAdhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocolsParticipate in continuing education and training to maintain competency and certification readinessQualificationsEducation Technical Program Neurodiagnostics or EEGWork Experience Registered Evoked Potential Technologist (REPT) or Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (R EEGT)Primary Location: Crystal RiverWork Locations: TGH Crystal River 6201 N Suncoast Boulevard Crystal River 34428 Eligible for Remote Work: On SiteJob: RespiratoryOrganization: Tampa General Hospital-CitrusSchedule: Per Diem/PoolShift: Day JobJob Type: On Site Shift Hours: 8:30am - 5pmMinimum Salary: 27.00
