Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18–$25 per hour, based on experience Work Location: In person Primary Location: Carol Stream, IL / Chicagoland job sites Responsibilities: • What You'll Do As a Pond Technician/Water Feature Specialist, your responsibilities will include: Clean and maintain ponds, streams, waterfalls, and other water features Drain and safely store pond water using pumps and tanks Carefully net, handle, and reacclimate fish Remove debris and pressure-wash rocks and gravel Inspect pumps, filtration systems, plumbing, and other pond equipment Perform routine pond maintenance and repairs Build and renovate ponds, streams, waterfalls, and water features Install plants and landscaping around water features Operate hand tools, power tools, pumps, and other equipment Troubleshoot problems and identify appropriate solutions Provide professional, friendly service to customers Answer customer questions and address concerns Work efficiently with other members of the crew Complete accurate daily service reports Qualifications: • What We're Looking For You may be a great fit if you are: Reliable, hardworking, and motivated Comfortable working outdoors in different weather conditions Detail-oriented and committed to quality work Able to work independently as well as part of a team Comfortable using hand tools and power equipment A good problem solver with mechanical aptitude Physically capable of repeatedly lifting and carrying 50–100 lbs. Able to stay active and perform hands-on work throughout the day Willing to learn new skills and take direction Able to communicate professionally with customers and coworkers In possession of a valid U.S. driver's license or reliable transportation to job sites Preferred, but not required: Pond or water-feature experience Landscaping experience Construction or outdoor maintenance experience Experience with pumps, filtration systems, plumbing, or mechanical equipment Compensation: $18 - $25 hourly
