Polishing TechnicianA local manufacturing company in Port Richey, FL is looking for an experienced Polishing Technician to join their team.The ideal candidate will have previous polishing experience and be comfortable working with machinery and hand tools.
Experience with double-sided polishing is not required, the company will provide training on the specific double-sided polishing equipment and processes.We are looking for someone who has strong attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, mechanical aptitude, and takes pride in producing high-quality finished products.What You'll DoPerform polishing and finishing work on manufactured productsOperate polishing and buffing equipment safely and efficientlyLearn to operate double-sided, dual-action, and two-headed polishing equipmentSelect appropriate abrasives, polishing wheels, pads, and grit sizes for different materials and finishesInspect finished surfaces for scratches, blemishes, swirls, and uneven texturesMake adjustments and perform additional polishing as needed to meet quality standardsRead and follow blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and finish requirementsPerform daily cleaning and basic maintenance of polishing equipmentMake routine adjustments to equipment and polishing headsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaFollow all company safety and quality proceduresQualificationsPrevious polishing experience requiredExperience with buffing, grinding, metal finishing, or similar finishing processes is a plusPrevious experience operating manufacturing or industrial machinery preferredStrong attention to detail and hand-eye coordinationMechanical aptitude and willingness to learn specialized equipmentAbility to read and follow technical instructions and specificationsAbility to identify imperfections and maintain consistent finish qualityComfortable standing for extended periods and performing physical workDependable, safety-conscious, and quality-orientedTraining ProvidedExperience with double-sided polishing is not required.
