Polisher/GrinderOur customer in Beloit, Wisconsin is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We’re recruiting Polishers/Grinders to work full-time on 1st shift. As a Polisher/Grinder, you will be responsible for grinding, smoothing, and polishing equipment components and metal parts prior to finishing operations using powered portable wheel, disc, or belt grinders.Responsibilities of the Polisher/GrinderPolish stainless steel and cold rolled steel parts, removing excess material and surface defects.Select the proper grade of abrasive belt, disc, or wheel according to grain size, finish specifications, and product requirements.Bead blast steel parts to achieve a consistent finish.Load and unload tumble deburring machines.Examine parts to ensure acceptable finish quality.Work from drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions.Utilize a high level of grip strength and hand dexterity to handle parts and polishing tools.Perform duties common to grinding and polishing operations.Complete all other duties as assigned.Requirements and QualificationsMust be able to lift, carry, and hold parts of various sizes, shapes, and weights.Ability to work with minimal supervision.Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.Good basic math skills required.Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools.Ability to understand blueprints and use basic measuring instruments.High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.Pay for Polisher/Grinder: Starting at $19-$22/hour.BenefitsHealth insurance401k with company matchPaid weeklyDirect depositPaid trainingType: 1st Shift, Full-timeSchedule: Monday – Friday from 6:00am – 4:30pm.
