This division is responsible for maintaining accurate and secure police records, including crime reports, arrest information, citations, and other critical documentation. Staff support frontline operations by providing timely information to sworn personnel, assisting the public at the counter, and responding to requests from outside agencies.
The Records Unit ensures compliance with state and federal reporting requirements, oversees data entry into law enforcement databases, and upholds strict confidentiality standards. Through efficient workflow management and high-quality customer service, the Records Unit plays a vital role in supporting the mission and daily operations of the Torrance Police Department.Hours: Candidates must be able and willing to work rotating shifts and holidays.
