The City of Chino Police Department is seeking highly motivated, service-oriented individuals to join our team. We are looking for candidates who are committed to serving the community with professionalism, integrity, and respect. As a Police Recruit, you'll begin your career with a department dedicated to excellence, teamwork, and providing exceptional public safety services to those who live, work, and play in the City of Chino.
Qualified applicants who meet the minimum qualifications may be invited to participate in the selection process, which includes attending a Physical Agility Test (PAT), Written Examination and oral interview, comprehensive police background investigation, and an administrative review.
Career Advancement: Police Recruits who successfully complete a California POST-certified Police Basic Training Academy and satisfy all departmental requirements will be promoted to the classification of Police Officer and become members of the Chino Police Officers Association (CPOA). Upon promotion, they will serve a probationary period and be granted full peace officer authority.
