Police Officer I

A Police Officer I performs responsible work to provide for public safety by maintaining order, responding to emergencies, protecting people and property, enforcing motor vehicle and criminal laws, and promoting good community relations on behalf of and within the City of Lexington. Minimum Qualifications • Education equivalent to graduation from high school and completion of Basic Law Enforcement Training or ability to complete Basic Law Enforcement Training within 6 months of hire; • Valid NC driver's license and good driving record; • Minimum age of 20 years.

Work Schedule Rotating 12 hour shifts (4 days on 4 days off). Paid bi-weekly.

Position will remain open until filled.
