Summary:
The Podiatrist operatesin a teamwith otherhealthcenterprovidersand supportstaffto provide podiatric care to all age groups in accordance withthe scope of practice. The Podiatristprovides diagnostic and therapeutic services to Petaluma Health Center patients, while making reasonable and sound medical assessments and treatment plans.
Areasof Responsibility:
- Physical examinations
- Developmentofdifferential diagnoses
- Orderlaboratoryand imaging studies
- Medicationsandreferrals,whenappropriate
- Office based podiatricprocedures including but not limited to the following: nailclipping, nail removal, orthoticcasting, foot injections and aspiration, removalof minor lesions of the foot
- Administer andprescribetreatmentsasappropriate
- Promotehealthylifestylesbyadvisingpatientsondiet,hygiene,anddiseaseprevention
- Documentpatientinformation,bothtimelyandaccuratelyasperprotocol
- Effectivelymanageproblemsthatrequirefollow-up
- Actively participate in internalquality improvement teams and work with team members to proactively drive improvement initiatives as requested

Education/Experience:
- GraduatefromanaccreditedPodiatryprogram
- CompletionofanaccreditedPodiatricresidencyprogrampreferred
Licensesand Certifications:
- Board CertifiedDPMwithcurrentCaliforniaLicenseingoodstandingandDEA
- CandidatemustbeabletosuccessfullymeetPHC’scredentialingandprivilegingrequirements
Language Skills:
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions and requests from patients, co-workers, and others as necessary.Bilingual in English and Spanish, both written and verbal preferred.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in allunits of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:
Abilitytorecognizeproblems,collect dataandestablishfacts.
Computer Skills:
High level of computer literacy and proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook), electronic medical records and web applications.
