Sanford Health, in collaboration with Black Hills Orthopedic and Spine Center of Wyoming, is seeking a PM&R Pain Medicine physician to join their practice in Gillette, Wyoming. This role offers an opportunity to provide world-class healthcare in America's heartland, focusing on musculoskeletal evaluations, non-surgical sports medicine, and interventional pain management. The position emphasizes team-based care within a supportive outpatient setting.

Practice Info

  • Outpatient practice
  • Mix of clinic and procedural days

Responsibilities

  • Perform history and physical examination
  • Admit, evaluate, diagnose, and provide consultation
  • Provide nonsurgical therapeutic treatment to inpatients and outpatients of all ages with physical impairments or disabilities involving neuromuscular, neurologic, cardiovascular, or musculoskeletal disorders
  • Conduct musculoskeletal evaluations for acute and chronic pain conditions
  • Provide non-surgical sports medicine and concussion care
  • Perform interventional pain management procedures
  • Administer ultrasound-guided injections
  • Manage neuropathic pain and BOTOX injections

Shift & Schedule

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree
  • Successful completion of a hospital affiliated Physical Medicine and Rehab residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
  • Certification by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable
  • If not board certified at the time of application but completed residency training within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training
  • H-1B and J-1 visa sponsorship available
  • Experience can be demonstrated by providing residency or fellowship log (for recent graduates)
  • Experience can be demonstrated by providing a quality profile from hospital(s) where privileges are held, showing clinical activity for the past 12 months, including numbers of procedures performed, morbidity, mortality, infection rates, and other complications (for those not applying directly out of residency)
  • Must be able to demonstrate active involvement in at least 25 Physical Medicine and Rehab cases in the last 12 months
