Onsite Contract General

PlumberThis role involves installing, repairing, and replacing a wide range of commercial plumbing systems while ensuring all work meets applicable codes, specifications, and contract requirements. The plumber accurately estimates materials, labor, and equipment, supports efficient scheduling, and maintains detailed documentation of work performed, including as-built drawings and testing records.ResponsibilitiesInstall, repair, replace, and maintain a variety of commercial plumbing systems in accordance with applicable codes, specifications, submittals, and contract requirements.Estimate materials, labor, and equipment costs accurately to support project planning and execution.Collaborate with dispatch to maintain an accurate schedule and communicate any delays or issues to customers in a timely and professional manner.Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked vehicle inventory, and ensure the vehicle remains in good working condition.Perform manual tasks such as bending, reaching, standing for extended periods, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, and maneuvering heavier items with additional personnel or appropriate lifting devices.Apply comprehensive knowledge of multiple piping materials, including Carbon Steel, Copper, PVC, Poly, Stainless Steel, and Aluminum, and perform accurate piping layout.Receive and follow direct supervision while carrying out technical responsibilities in the field.Perform testing and inspection of installed systems and record results accurately for documentation and compliance purposes.Install all systems and products following approved drawings, submittals, and project documentation.Provide timely input and updates to maintain accurate and current as-built record drawings.Work safely around mechanical, piping, electrical, and related construction systems, following all applicable safety guidelines.Essential SkillsProven experience installing, repairing, replacing, and maintaining commercial plumbing systems.Strong ability to estimate materials, labor, and equipment costs for plumbing and piping work.Comprehensive knowledge of multiple piping material applications, including Carbon Steel Pipe, Copper Pipe, PVC Pipe, Poly Pipe, Stainless Steel Pipe, and Aluminum Pipe, as well as piping layout.Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and plumbing drawings.Hands-on experience with plumbing, piping, and pipefitting work in a construction or mechanical environment.Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including bending, reaching, standing, and lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds, and maneuvering heavier items with assistance or equipment.Journeyman Plumber or Master Plumber license.Ability to follow direct supervision and perform technical responsibilities accurately.Attention to detail in testing, inspecting, and recording system performance and installation results.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is a plus but not required.Familiarity with mechanical, piping, electrical, and construction environments.Strong communication skills to coordinate with dispatch and provide clear updates on schedule and project status.Ability to maintain accurate as-built record drawings and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.Why Work Here?The organization offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support long-term financial security, health, and work-life balance. On-site operating hours are from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and shifts consist of an 8-hour block within that window. Occasional on-call support is required. The work takes place in a commercial construction and mechanical environment involving plumbing, piping, and related systems, where employees work with various piping materials and around mechanical and electrical equipment while adhering to safety standards.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Yorktown, VA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $40.00/hr.
