PlumberWe are seeking a skilled plumber to perform general plumbing tasks, including replacing copper lines, and conducting building repairs on sinks, toilets, and drainage systems. The position involves working in a dynamic community college environment.ResponsibilitiesReplace copper lines (sweating copper lines).Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fixtures, and plumbing systems, including water heaters, sinks, toilets, and drainage systems.Diagnose plumbing issues and determine appropriate solutions.Inspect plumbing systems to identify leaks, blockages, or defects.Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and building plans.Ensure all work complies with local plumbing codes and safety standards.Respond to emergency plumbing calls when required.Provide cost estimates and timelines for plumbing services.Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition.Communicate effectively with customers, contractors, and team members.Essential SkillsExperience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and facilities maintenance.Knowledge of PVC, blueprints, and general building maintenance.Proficiency in snaking, draining, inspections, and preventive maintenance.Ability to perform facility repairs and general labor tasks.Competence in piping and painting.Additional Skills & QualificationsProven experience in replacing copper lines (sweating pipes).Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Why Work Here?This position offers the potential for a long-term opportunity within a community college setting, providing a stable and rewarding work environment.Work EnvironmentWork hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, within a community college.
