The Department of Facilities and Construction Management at Jackson State University is accepting applications for its Plumber I position.
Examples Of Duties
- Operate hand tools and power tools associated with the plumbing trade.
- Repair/replace general plumbing equipment, water heaters, pumps, etc.
- Repair work on clogged sewer lines and sanitary plumbing equipment.
- Leads troubleshooting efforts and repair water and gas distribution systems.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Director.
Typical Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must possess a valid Mississippi Driver's License.
- 5 to 7 years' experience in preventive maintenance.
- General working knowledge of maintenance type plumbing and general maintenance repairs.
- Must be capable of reading, comprehending and interpreting mechanical construction installation plans and specifications.
