PLC Manufacturing TechnicianSumter, South CarolinaFull TimeAs a PLC Manufacturing Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our production equipment is operating efficiently and effectively. You will work closely with our Engineering Group to monitor and improve processes for output and waste levels. If you have a strong background in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's), industrial electronics and maintenanceResponsibilities:Set up and maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on equipment used in the production process.Perform preventive maintenance on designated production equipment as specified in the PM Program or as required to ensure a smooth operationAssist Engineering with the installation, debugging, and start-up of all production equipmentMaintain equipment logs on assigned equipment, recording pertinent information about downtime and maintenance problemsDocument all process changesMix silicone/solvent-based formulation which is used for the lubrication of needles (Sharps Department Only) Uses viscometer to ensure solids percentage remains within acceptable parameters.Support Engineering in maintaining and adjusting vision systems within defined parametersProvide leadership to ensure all safety and environmental procedures and Quality System Requirements (QSR) are maintainedProvide Production Supervisors with relevant information on equipment and process performance, to include production and waste informationProvide leadership to other associates in trouble-shooting production equipmentCoordinate and support other maintenance duties as requiredResponsible for providing leadership and ownership of process performance issuesReports directly to Production Maintenance and indirectly to Production.Minimum Requirement:High School Diploma/GED + a minimum of 4 years of Electronic/Industrial/Manufacturing experience or equivalent experience + educationA diploma, certificate, or document demonstrating completion & understanding of electrical safety fundamentals is requiredVocational/Technical School Curriculum required (see below listed classes) Relevant experience may be substituted for individual courses (except safety) or Associates Degree with a Major in Industrial Electronics or similar field (strongly preferred)Able to work any shift schedule, including 12 hour shifts and nightsAble to interpret and comprehend basic Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's) ladder logicAble to trouble shoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's) (Allen Bradley preferred)Possess proficient skills in electrical industrial systemsAble to comprehend and adhere to specifications, procedures, requirements both written and verbalRelevant Fields: Electrical / Electronics Technician, Electromechanical Technician, Mechanical Engineering Technician, Industrial Programmer, ElectricianVocational/Technical School (Curriculum)Industrial ElectricityAC/DC Circuits I & IIControl CircuitsProgrammable ControllersProgrammable Controllers ApplicationsIndustrial InstrumentationProblem Solving for Mechanical ApplicationsElectrical Safety or Electrical Safety Fundamentals
