About the Role
We are looking for a highly experienced and forward-thinking DevSecOps Principal Engineer to lead the design, security, and governance of our data and analytics platforms. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring that our data ecosystem is secure, scalable, and aligned with modern governance practices—enabling the business to make confident, data-driven decisions.
What You’ll Do
Drive Data Governance & Strategy
- Help define and implement data and analytics governance frameworks.
- Collaborate with business and IT leaders to establish clear policies on data access, usage, and accountability.
- Enable a culture of responsible data usage across the organization.
Strengthen Risk Management
- Define data classification standards and data zoning strategies.
- Ensure information assets are clearly identified, protected, and proactively managed in a federated data environment.
- Partner with leadership to mitigate risks in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
Secure Data & Analytics Assets
- Assess and implement robust security solutions for data platforms.
- Work closely with CISO/CDO teams to ensure enterprise data is treated as a critical, protected asset.
- Integrate security into every stage of the data lifecycle.
Lead DevSecOps Transformation
- Champion DevSecOps principles by embedding security into development and operations from day one.
- Build and optimize secure, automated CI/CD pipelines.
- Promote a culture of security awareness and continuous improvement.
- Proactively identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
What We’re Looking For
Experience & Expertise
- 15+ years of overall experience in cloud and platform engineering.
- 10+ years of hands‑on experience with Azure cloud architecture and design.
- 5+ years of experience with Databricks (including Unity Catalog – required).
- Strong experience in DevSecOps practices and implementation.
Technical Skills
- Deep expertise in Azure, Databricks, and modern data platforms.
- Experience with Immuta or similar data security/governance tools.
- Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark.
- Knowledge of Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and data virtualization tools.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure components: networking, storage, firewalls, load balancers, and virtual machines.
- Experience across Windows, Linux, and UNIX environments.
