Platform Hardware EngineerPositions are open for both senior and junior full-time engineers in platform and board design.ResponsibilitiesAs a Platform Hardware Engineer, you will own or participate in the following:Platform design for chip bring-up boards and final systemsDeveloping specifications based on requirements from end usersSchematic capture, board block design, defining routing constraints, layout review and simulationLab bring-up, test, and debuggingPower and signal integrity analysis (with specialists)High-speed interface characterizationDebugging system-level issuesResolving system-level issues related to silicon validation and characterizationRequirementsWe are looking for experienced engineers ready to tackle complex design challenges as well as junior engineers looking to learn in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of high-speed, high-power, system designKnowledge of defining routing constraints for high-speed interfacesFamiliarity with a variety of board-level interfaces: I2C, SPI, DDR, etcDesign and analysis of power supplies as well as power integrity analysisExcellent signal integrity analysis and measurement techniquesCPU/SOC/Microcontroller system architecture expertiseTest automation expertise using PythonBoard level analog and digital circuit design expertiseHDL experience is a plusExcellent skills in problem solving, written and verbal communication, excellent organization skills, and highly self-motivated.Ability to work well in a team and be productive under aggressive schedules.Junior engineers should have experience designing small boards (schematic, layout, manufacturing, debug)Senior engineers should have experience architecting high-end, multi-board platforms in parallel with silicon and product developmentEducation and ExperiencePhD, Master's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in technical subject area.
