Primary Location: Cincinnati, OH V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Platform Engineer V for our premier client in Cincinnati, OH. Education and Experience:
  • Experience with warehouse sizing, workload management, cost monitoring, and compute optimization.
  • Experience troubleshooting production incidents and improving platform reliability.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of Snowflake architecture, virtual warehouses, micro-partitions, caching, query execution, and resource consumption
  • Extensive hands-on experience administering and supporting Snowflake in a production enterprise environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience integrating Snowflake with AWS S3, IAM, Glue, and enterprise data pipelines.
  • Python or shell scripting for automation and administrative tasks.
  • Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools.
  • SnowPro Core or Advanced certification.
  • Experience in financial services or another regulated enterprise environment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO: Job Responsibilities:
  • Establish platform standards for warehouse sizing, auto-suspend and auto-resume, resource monitors, workload isolation, and cost management.
  • Monitor platform health, investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures to improve reliability.
  • Manage database objects and platform hygiene, including schemas, tables, views, retention settings, and obsolete resource cleanup.
