Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Kubernetes administration, enterprise infrastructure, Linux systems, automation, and production troubleshooting.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing enterprise Kubernetes platforms using Red Hat OpenShift and/or Rancher, along with strong knowledge of Linux administration, networking, storage, and infrastructure automation.

The candidate will be responsible for building, maintaining, and supporting highly available, scalable, and resilient platform environments for mission-critical enterprise applications and workloads.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot Kubernetes platforms in enterprise production environments.
• Deploy and manage enterprise Kubernetes platforms using Red Hat OpenShift and/or Rancher.
• Perform RHEL/Linux administration, system configuration, patching, and production troubleshooting.
• Manage Linux storage, LVM, filesystems, RAID, server hardware, and system performance optimization.
• Configure and troubleshoot networking components, including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, load balancing, SSH, TLS/SSL, certificates, and PKI.
• Integrate enterprise storage solutions, including Pure Storage, with Kubernetes using CSI drivers, persistent volumes, storage classes, and dynamic provisioning.
• Develop automation scripts using Shell/Bash and Python.
• Implement infrastructure automation and configuration management using Ansible.
• Provision and manage infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Manage Kubernetes deployments using Helm, Argo CD, and GitOps practices.
• Work with Git/GitHub and CI/CD pipelines for version control, automated deployments, and environment promotion.
• Manage container technologies such as Docker and Podman, including container images, registries, networking, storage, and runtime troubleshooting.
• Implement monitoring and observability using Prometheus and Grafana, including metrics, dashboards, alerting, and performance analysis.
• Design, deploy, and support highly available, scalable, and resilient Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) environments.
• Support platforms handling large-scale data ingestion, ETL, distributed data processing, and high-throughput workloads.
• Perform end-to-end troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across hardware, storage, operating systems, networking, containers, Kubernetes, platform services, and applications.
• Use LLDP for hardware and network-layer identification and TCPDUMP for network troubleshooting.
• Configure and validate server networking, including NIC bonding, LACP, and network connectivity requirements.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, storage, DevOps, and application teams to resolve complex production issues.
