Shift: Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Saturday: 5:00 AM - 10:00 AM, as needed (Not every Saturday required)

Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking an experienced Plate Fitter to join a growing fabrication team in Sapulpa. This position is responsible for laying out, fitting, and assembling steel plate components according to engineering drawings while ensuring proper alignment, dimensional accuracy, and production quality.
The ideal candidate has previous plate fitting experience, strong blueprint reading skills, and takes pride in producing precision-fabricated components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Required Experience & Skills
• Previous plate fitting or heavy steel fabrication experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and work orders
• Strong measuring, layout, and fit-up skills
• Experience using tape measures, squares, levels, and other precision measuring tools
• Ability to safely operate fabrication equipment and hand tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings to determine fit-up requirements
• Lay out, fit, and assemble steel plate components according to specifications
• Verify proper alignment, dimensions, and fit before welding
• Use measuring tools and fabrication equipment safely and accurately
• Inspect assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards and production requirements
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all company safety policies, fabrication procedures, and quality standards
• Assist with additional fabrication duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous heavy industrial or structural steel fabrication experience
• Experience fitting pressure vessel or heavy plate assemblies
• Knowledge of welding symbols and fabrication processes
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and repetitive physical activity throughout the shift
• Ability to safely operate fabrication equipment while wearing required PPE
• Comfortable working around heavy steel materials and industrial machinery
Work Environment
• Climate-controlled fabrication facility with air conditioning
• Heavy industrial manufacturing environment focused on precision fabrication
• Exposure to fabrication equipment, heavy steel materials, industrial machinery, and shop activity
• Overtime opportunities available, including occasional Saturdays based on production demands
