Sanford Health is seeking a BC/BE fellowship-trained Plastic Surgeon to join an established department at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, Wisconsin. This role involves a heavily reconstructive practice, serving community needs in trauma, limb salvage, wound care, burn, and hyperbaric medicine. The position offers an opportunity to work in a recently renovated workspace with excellent support from colleagues and dedicated staff.

Responsibilities

  • Perform history and physical examination
  • Admit, evaluate, diagnose and provide nonsurgical and surgical care to patients of all ages
  • Provide care for illnesses, injuries, and disorders that require the repair, reconstruction, or replacement of physical defects of form or function involving the skin, musculoskeletal system, cranio-maxillofacial structures, hand, extremities, breast and trunk, and external genitalia
  • Be involved in medical education and research

Requirements

  • BC/BE fellowship-trained Plastic Surgeon
  • Experienced in a wide array of cases, including but not limited to breast surgery, facial surgery including facial trauma, burn and scar revisions, carpal tunnel surgeries and cosmetic procedures
  • M.D. or D.O. degree
  • Successful completion of a hospital affiliated Plastic Surgical residency program (can be either the independent or integrated residency training models)
  • Residency programs must be accredited by The ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
  • Current subspecialty certification in plastic surgery by the America Board of Plastic Surgery or American Osteopathic Board of Surgery OR successful completion of an (ACGME) or (AOA) accredited residency in a surgical specialty followed by successful completion of an accredited in plastic surgery residency and active participation in the examination process with achievement of certification within 5 years of completion of formal training leading to subspecialty certification in plastic surgery by the American Board of Surgery or the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery
