Sanford Health is seeking a fellowship-trained or experienced Plastic Surgeon to join its Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery practice. This role involves a wide range of reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery procedures, utilizing state-of-the-art facilities. The ideal candidate will contribute to a growing team within one of the largest not-for-profit health systems in the United States.
Practice Info
- Join an existing practice of 4 physicians and 4 APPs.
- Clinic practice includes a wide range of reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery.
- Procedures include breast reconstruction, cancer and trauma reconstruction (some microvascular), body contouring, breast reduction, augmentation, and lift, abdominoplasty, liposuction, facelift, blepharoplasty, brow lift, Mohs reconstruction, wound care, and maxillofacial trauma.
- Clinic, hospital, and Vivaz Medical Spa offer state-of-the-art facilities and advanced equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform history and physical examination.
- Admit, evaluate, diagnose, and provide nonsurgical and surgical care to patients of all ages.
- Address illnesses, injuries, and disorders requiring repair, reconstruction, or replacement of physical defects of form or function.
- Involve the skin, musculoskeletal system, cranio-maxillofacial structures, hand, extremities, breast and trunk, and external genitalia.

Shift & Schedule
- Trauma call obligation is 3-4 days per month.
Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree.
- Successful completion of a hospital-affiliated Plastic Surgical residency program (independent or integrated models) accredited by ACGME, AOA, or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
- Current subspecialty certification in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery or American Osteopathic Board of Surgery, OR successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency in a surgical specialty followed by successful completion of an accredited plastic surgery residency and active participation in the examination process with achievement of certification within 5 years of completion of formal training.
- Demonstrate active involvement in at least 200 Plastic Surgery procedures in the last 24 months (for applicants not directly out of residency).
- May require more education and experience as the practice becomes more advanced.
