Sanford Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Plastic Surgeon to join its comprehensive surgical team. This role involves a broad scope of plastic surgery, including general plastic surgery, OMF, breast reconstruction, flaps, trauma, wound care, and aesthetic plastic surgery. The successful candidate will serve patients of all ages within a single-campus setting that includes an outpatient surgery center, benefiting from a large built-in referral base across Western ND, Eastern MT, and Northern SD.
Practice Info
- Practice encompasses general plastic surgery, OMF, breast reconstruction, flaps, trauma and wound care along with aesthetic plastic surgery
- Serving patients of all ages
- Single campus with outpatient surgery center
- Microsurgery and/or hand experience welcomed but not exclusive
- Large built-in referral base spanning Western ND, Eastern MT, Northern SD
- Teaching/Academic setting available within the UND School of Medicine
Responsibilities
- Perform history and physical examination
- Admit, evaluate, diagnose and provide nonsurgical and surgical care to patients of all ages
- Address illnesses, injuries, and disorders that require the repair, reconstruction, or replacement of physical defects of form or function
- Manage conditions involving the skin, musculoskeletal system, cranio-maxillofacial structures, hand, extremities, breast and trunk, and external genitalia

Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Successful completion of a hospital affiliated Plastic Surgical residency program (can be either the independent or integrated residency training models)
- Residency programs must be accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
- Current subspecialty certification in plastic surgery by the America Board of Plastic Surgery or American Osteopathic Board of Surgery
- If not board certified, successful completion of an (ACGME) or (AOA) accredited residency in a surgical specialty followed by successful completion of an accredited in plastic surgery residency (can be either the independent or integrated residency training models) and active participation in the examination process with achievement of certification within 5 years of completion of formal training leading to subspecialty certification in plastic surgery by the American Board of Surgery or the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery
- Demonstrate active involvement in at least 200 Plastic Surgery procedures in the last 24 months (for applicants not directly out of residency)
