Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon

Sanford Health is seeking a BE/BC Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon to join its established practice in Fargo, North Dakota. This opportunity allows the provider to practice within a Level I Trauma Center and regional referral center serving a population of over one million people. The position offers a diverse mix of reconstructive and elective surgery with the flexibility to develop individual clinical interests.

Responsibilities

• Engage in a broad practice encompassing reconstructive, breast, general plastic, cosmetic, and post-bariatric surgery
• Provide complex soft-tissue and oncologic reconstruction
• Perform collaborative and combined cases with surgical oncology, gynecologic oncology, orthopedic surgery, trauma surgery, and other specialties
• Perform breast reconstruction, including both implant-based and autologous techniques
• Perform extremity reconstruction and limb salvage
• Execute free-tissue transfer and microsurgical breast and extremity reconstruction for surgeons with microsurgical expertise
• Teach medical students, surgical residents, and other trainees

Compensation

• Compensation floor of $650,000 for the first two years of the employment contract, plus estimated potential to exceed compensation floor from personally performed wRVUs
• $100,000 retention incentive to be paid if you remain a 1.0 FTE for 3 years

• Microsurgical training and experience are welcomed but are not required
