Job TitleBurner OperatorJob DescriptionBurner Operator Summary: The Burners' primary duties are to perform production activities, under limited supervision, that requires a demonstrated skill and competency in production processes and machine operation. They will process quality products safely and efficiently by setting up, operating and performing simple programming of a Burner Operator. Primary Responsibilities:Set up and program CNC burning machinesBevel parts to customer specs from work orderCut scrap to properly disposeReads and interprets blueprints and machine drawings to determine specific burning or beveling requirementsControlling machines and processes (using either control mechanisms/direct physical activity to operate machines or processesHandling and moving objectsUsing hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials and manipulationKnowledge and Skill Requirements:5+ years' of relevant experienceAbility to move controls on panelboard to regulate temperatures of solutionsMust be able to handle multi torch and plasma operationsMust be able to read instruments (thermometers, pressure gauges, potentiometers, etc.)Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints and geometric tolerancesUnderstands OD/IDMust understand basic reading, writing, and mathematical skillsAbility to use a variety of hand tools such as hammers, pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, grinders, etc.Understands metric/standard measurements
