Job TitleProvide direct support to the Director of Plant Operations, managing and executing multiple healthcare-related maintenance improvement projects involving all phases of the project including planning, scope development, funding acquisition, design, construction, and final project closeout.Responsible for providing day to day project oversight of various projects as it relates to Plant Operations, as well as performing on-site inspections of contractor's work to ensure healthcare standards and codes are being met. Actively communicate and be the voice for the maintenance side during the developments and review of projects. Provide general project management support to the Director of Plant Operations.
Assist Plant Operations and Capital Projects with overseeing standard construction projects or various phases of major projects. Assist Plant Operations with specifying owner requirements to Capital projects for design and execution.Uphold Norton Sound Health Corporation's vision, mission, and corporate values. Demonstrate understanding of and compliance with policies, procedures, code of conduct and work rules.Essential FunctionsRepresent Plant Operations department during multiple healthcare-related collaborations.Provides leadership, direction, and guidance to teams throughout project development, design, and construction.Perform quality control/quality assurance for all projects related to Plant Operations.Review general engineering design concepts in consultation with design staff and provide recommendations for conceptual design options ensuring project design meets Plant Operation requirements.Ensure that all necessary permits are obtained and construction inspection for projects related to Plant Operations.Oversee Plant Operations during the absence of the Director of Plant Operations.Assist with the management of multiple budgets and the related reporting.Assist with analyzing, interpreting and writing reports of project findings to be presented to Administration and Board of Directors.Manage transition of completed Capital Projects over to Operations with NSHC Nome Plant Operations and/or Village Maintenance Director, providing guidance on systems function and contacting the design and installation contractors.Perform other duties as assigned supporting Plant Operations, Village Facilities Management, and Nome Facilities Management.Personal TraitsAll Norton Sound Health Corporation employees are expected to consistently demonstrate the organization's values: integrity, cultural sensitivity and respect for traditional values, continual learning and improving, compassion, teamwork, and pride.
