Plant ManagerThe Plant Manager is responsible for independently managing the plant manufacturing operations in line with the strategic and annual profit plans. Directs all plant operations with overall responsibilities for Safety, Quality, Logistics, Operations, Continuous Improvement, Maintenance and Employee Relations.The Plant Manager We Need:Change Leader | Energetic & Collaborative in Leadership | Champion of Culture | Highly Motivated | Excellent Communicator | Outside of the Box Thinker | Innovative Problem Solver | Continuous Improvement MindsetResponsibilities:Leads the Plant Management team and direct and manage plant operations for production, technical, engineering, launch, quality, supply chain, IT and EHS.Manages and maintains the quality system; provides the resources necessary to maintain the quality system.Manages and maintains the Environmental Management System; provides the resources necessary to maintain the quality of the system.Conducts management reviews of the quality and EM system.Responsible for customer satisfaction.Responsible for the safety of employees, visitors and contractors within the site.Ensures document and data control at the plant level.Coordinate plant activities through planning with departmental managers to insure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.Manage policy deployment in areas of lean manufacturing techniques, quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations and engagement, visual controls and plant performance measures.Provides leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training and development.Provides leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships.Prepare the Plant Profit Plan with the assistance of the plant staff and submits the Plant Profit Plan to Vice President of Operations and CFO for reviewEssential Job Duties:Manage the operations within the plant with support from a cross functional staff of departmental managersPlan, organize and direct the manufacturing operation to ensure the most effective return on assets and obtainment of production schedules and overall business objectivesManage policy deployment in areas of lean manufacturing techniques, quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations & engagement, visual controls and plant performance measuresCreate profit plan including budgets, personnel and investment plansControl deviations from the planned "actual" values and introducing corrective measuresMonitor daily & monthly company directed KPI's and report out to Regional Director in monthly MORProvide root cause analysis of production and quality issues and make appropriate decisions based on risk analysisAssure that all corporate guidelines and procedures are adhered toCommunicate regularly with direct reports and management and supervise their performance in all functions including performance evaluationsManage plant launch team to achieve corporate launch objectivesMaintain high level of customer, community and public relations in keeping with the corporate imageIdentify the needs for capital acquisition, gather information and obtain appropriate approvalsJob Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance or similar fieldMinimum 7 years experience with plant/department responsibilities7 years experience automotive manufacturing, plastic injection molding or similar plant environment, some within a JIT environmentStrong team building, decision making, communication and people management skillsFamiliarity with industry standard equipment and corresponding technical expertiseExtensive experience working/communicating with customers and suppliers
