We are representing a globally recognized manufacturing organization actively seeking an Operations Manager to lead production at their Michigan facility. This leader will oversee plant production lines, coordinate cross-functional teams, and drive performance across safety, quality, and delivery.
Position Overview
- Leads production supervisors, technicians, and a large production workforce (100+ employees)
- Owns daily performance against safety, quality, delivery, and cost KPIs
- Enforces safety protocols and drives lean manufacturing principles and daily management systems to hit output targets
- Partners with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance to improve plant throughput and resolve operational issues
- Contributes to annual operating plans, labor capacity models, and staffing strategy
- Leads continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and strengthen plant performance
- Develops, coaches, and holds accountable a strong front-line leadership team
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, xzgxqkn Supply Chain, Business, or a related field (or equivalent manufacturing experience)
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience, including 3+ years in a leadership or plant management role
- Working knowledge of ERP systems and Lean/Six Sigma tools
- Proven ability to lead teams, drive results, and work cross-functionally
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
