**About This Opportunity**

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Operations to lead our new state-of-the-art plant in Defiance, Ohio, set to launch in the summer of 2027. As the senior-most leader at our facility, you will be entrusted with full responsibility for all manufacturing operations, financial performance, safety, quality, workforce development, and continuous improvement. You will play a pivotal role in establishing a culture of operational excellence and employee engagement.
In this role, you will lead the greenfield manufacturing startup, overseeing every aspect from construction coordination to production ramp-up. You will be accountable for the plant’s P&L, ensuring that we meet our financial goals while fostering a safe and productive work environment. Your leadership will be essential in building and guiding a manufacturing organization of approximately 400–500 employees, establishing operating systems, performance metrics, and best practices that will set us apart in the industry.
You bring proven greenfield manufacturing plant experience and a track record of successfully managing complex capital projects and startup milestones. Your expertise in Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma will be invaluable as you drive continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making across all operational departments. You will lead functions such as production, maintenance, engineering, quality, and safety, ensuring that every team member is aligned with our goals of productivity and cost efficiency.
As you build, coach, mentor, and develop high-performing leadership and manufacturing teams, you will foster a culture of safety, accountability, and engagement. You will be instrumental in developing sustainable manufacturing processes that support high-speed, high-volume production, setting the stage for long-term success.
You will also have the opportunity to travel periodically to our established manufacturing operation in South Carolina for training, collaboration, and startup preparation, ensuring that you are well-equipped to lead our new facility to success.
